I was a Wikipedia admin from 2004 to 2020, at which point I lost the admin tools for inactivity.

I will say, as I have said for decades, that Wikipedia's obsession with edit counts is pointless and harmful, and "government by the loudest" is no way to run a community.

Editor experience invitation

[edit]

Hi Rspeer. I noticed you haven't edited for a few months but I once took a break for a year so this doesn't necessarily mean you won't come back. Anyways, I'm looking for experienced editors to interview here. There's no deadline so feel free to take your time. Also feel free to pass if you're not interested. If you're curious about how I came across you, I was reading an old RfA where an essay of yours about editcountitis was linked. I also have some thoughts about that if you ever wish to give it a read. Regardless I wish you the best, ClovermossšŸ€ (talk) 00:37, 20 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for reaching out. I don't think I'd be in a position where I'd want to do an interview though. rspĪµĪµr (talk) 06:38, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine. The questions are there if you ever change your mind but I respect your choice. ClovermossšŸ€ (talk) 06:47, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
