Featured Article
[edit]I know this doesn't really belong here, but I'm so happy that this is one of the featured articles. :) I love the Mana series.
Since it's Featured, I suppose not much work needs to be done anyway. You fans must be pretty devoted to the series, huh?

While Ishii claims it to happen on alternate variants/counterparts of a world, Dawn of Mana is a DIRECT sequel to the first game (or its GBA variant), which is instantly visible by playing the first game.
The new Rise of Mana game
[edit]Here's some info about the new Rise of Mana game. Someone could use it to add some additional info to this article.

- Ref 086 (now 89) (fixed) 404 error. Updated with Wayback. Removed dead link tag.
- Ref 104 (now 107)(fixed) redirect loop. Cannot be crawled by Wayback due to Robots.txt. Updated with archive.today.
- Ref 106 (now 109)(fixed) 404 error. Updated with Wayback.

- Ref 109 (now 112)(replaced) see below.

Ref 70 - This citation was used to support the specific piece of information that players "selects on a world map a number of destinations he or she wishes to fly to with a Flammie" in Children of Mana. The problem is that this (now broken) link is to the general homepage of the World of Mana website. I found the archive (which has flash elements that will not load), but I am removing it from the article and placing it here as neither this article nor its archive support the claim. A new source (I'm sure its mentioned in a review somewhere) should be added in its place. Added citation needed tag.
- cite web | url=http://www.square-enix.co.jp/mana/%7C title=The World of Mana| accessdate=2007-06-12| publisher=Square Enix| language=Japanese| archiveurl=http://web.archive.org/web/20110302042950/http://web.square-enix.co.jp/mana/%7C archivedate=2011-03-02
Ref 85 - This citation was to a page of search results, supporting the claim that Shiro Amano drew and produced a series of Manga based on the Mana series and published it in Japan through Enterbrain. A list of search results doesn't seem appropriate as a source for a FA, and since it has no archive, I'm removing it replacing it with citations to the individual works on Enterbrain. Additionally it appears from this search on Enterbrain that Amano has in fact done seven (the article claims 5) volumes of manga based on Legends of Mana. My Google translate isn't particularly helpful here (the pages are in Japanese). Does anyone know if these are compilations or new mangas? If the latter, our page needs to be updated. Old citation below.
- cite web| url=http://www.enterbrain.co.jp/cgi-bin/psearch/psearch.cgi?proc=search&word=writer&text=%C5%B7%CC%EE%A5%B7%A5%ED%7C title=Search results for Shiro Amano| accessdate=2007-06-09| publisher=Enterbrain| language=Japanese
Ref 109 & 110 - Both of these are to support a claim about games in the Mana series' rankings by Famitsu. Since this is the only context they are used in, I've replaced them with citations from Famitsu.com. Below are the removed citations (the second of which is now a dead link).
- cite web| author=Kennedy, Sam| date = 1999-07-12| title=Japan Prepares for Mana| url = http://www.gamespot.com/news/japan-prepares-for-mana-2450722?tag=result%3Btitle%3B0%7C publisher=GameSpot| accessdate=2008-02-14

Collection links
[edit]Sources relating to the Collection of Mana compilation.

Collection of Mana
[edit]Given that Collection of Mana redirects here, it would be appreciated if there was more than a pittance of information about the collection itself here. It is not made clear anywhere, for example, which games are even on the collection. 96.48.239.44 (talk) 05:01, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- Good point, now added- it was ports of the original versions of Final Fantasy Adventure, Secret of Mana, and Trials of Mana. --PresN 22:06, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
